FLOJET PUMP INSTALLATION
Flojet pumps are excellent pumps for low pressure systems such as foam brush and tire-engine cleaner, if installed correctly. First, they are an air pump that is rated at no more than 100 PSI. You must regulate the air from your compressor to the pump at no more than 100 PSI. We recommend 75 PSI which is plenty for most self-serves with 6 bays or less. Second, you must keep water out of the air intake, keep your compressor drained and use an inline filter regulator to keep the air clean of dirt, oil, and water. If you keep your air intake clean and regulate the pressure to the pump, these pumps will last. We currently have a Flojet that is over 4 years old on our self-serve.
